René is the founder of Avenwood, a Swiss company specializing in wooden products. However, his business had been experiencing most sales through live markets and wanted to scale by expanding their ecommerce site.

MEET RENÉ
René founded Avenwood six years ago. In the early days, his idea included a choose-your-own design wooden smartphone case but has now expanded to wireless charging and other electronic products.
While Avenwood originally started as an online shop, it saw 60% of revenue coming from offline activities like Christmas markets.
Meanwhile in the online realm, René’s business had been successful with Facebook Ads and was performing well overall. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Rene redirected his team of six to focus on ecommerce. They’d always had difficulty scaling so this posed as a big challenge ahead.
After taking the Ecommerce Masters course near the end of February, René was able to expand his email marketing initiative to cover 15% of revenue by doubling down on several key email flows. As for Facebook Ads, Avenwood was able to focus on naming conventions to better organize and scale their online advertising initiative.
